openid for vox
Vox users can comment on LiveJournal now, keeping their Vox identity. Demo URL:

More to do:
-- let you add Vox FOAF to your LJ friends list, to auto-add all your vox neighborhood to LJ friends, and keep them in sync, and auto-syndicated them all
-- suck down your FOAF interests/userpic/etc into your LJ account.
-- syndicate your Vox to LJ when you have a Vox-on-LJ account.

Mark: yes, it'll just be regular OpenID/LJ features.... I just use a vox 16x16 gif for Vox OpenID users is all.

Are you sure OpenID support is live on Vox.com yet? I tried leaving an OpenID comment in my LJ using my Vox profile URL, but got "No claimed id: no_identity_server: The provided URL doesn't declare its OpenID identity server". And I don't see any OpenID or Yadis LINK tags on anyone's Vox pages.
Nevertheless, I'm sure it'll be working soon, which will be awesome...

It's pretty interesting to me how the two sites are working together. I had originally assumed vox.com was out to replace LJ. I love the way the internet works these days.
expanding on what thaumata commented, what exactly is the different focus/purpose of vox vs. lj? i've been on lj as a paid user for a very long time, but i have to admit i prefer the features/layout here so far (except for non-threaded comments! what's up with that?)... is there a defined difference yet?

i'm really glad the two sites will eventually work together in some way. i love lj and have for years, but this vox thingie is bright and shiny. i want both. lj has brought immense joy, i will not give it up.
